Inverted Yield Curve…

This week’s financial article explores the brief inverted yield curve which occurred last week.  The article outlines that not only has an inverted yield curve proceeded every recession since 1956; but also that not every inverted yield curve has been followed by a recession.

The shape of the yield curve is one of many considerations when designing bond allocations for investment portfolios.  However, the relationship between the 2, 10 and 30 year Treasury bond yields at any given moment has not been a reliable predictor of the future performance of a diversified investment portfolio.

If the shouting of TV and radio news pundits whose compensation is derived from advertising dollars have caused you to lose sleep over last week’s brief inverted yield curve, please reach out for a review of your investment portfolio in the context of your risk tolerance and long-term goals.

Enjoy the ride of YOUR life!
