What is good financial advice…
This week’s notable finance article points out that while we may outwardly appear to have common financial challenges (based on our age, income, location, family structure, etc.), the reality is our finances and goals are so individualized that what may be good advice for one can be terrible advice for another.
On the other end of the bookshelf is this week’s notable motorcycle article. It acknowledges how we can appear to be so different from one-another based upon outward appearances and yet still find common ground thru shared interests.
As much as I would like to have a checklist that clearly identifies that 1) I am making progress and 2) I am moving in the right direction. These examples are one of several scenarios where we have to hold two competing concepts in tension to wrestle thru what is right for us.

The writer walks us thru several pieces of financial advice that she either received directly from “professionals” or discovered on her own thru friends and the internet that turned out to be not entirely applicable for her situation. The article is a good reminder that everyone’s financial situation is different and what may be good advice for one, may be terrible for another.
An interesting “story” about two random travelers who eventually stumble onto their common interest in motorcycles after painfully observing all of their outward differences.
